Biography

Born in 1866 .

He began his stage career in 1884 at the Vologda Theater. Until 1901, he played in the cities of the Russian province: Omsk [1] , Samara , Saratov , Astrakhan , Kharkov . In 1901-1902 he was an actor of the Moscow Art Theater, in 1902-1905 - the Solovtsov Theater in Kiev , then in the entreprise of V.I. Nikulin in Odessa , as well as in theaters of Kazan and Saratov . In 1909-1917, the actor of the Maly Theater in Moscow.

In the early 1920s, Lepkovsky lived in Abkhazia . Since 1924, again in Moscow - he worked in the theater of the Moscow Regional Council of Trade Unions. Starred in the movie. He also taught. Among his pupils is the future People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Zeldin [2] .

He lived in Moscow in Armenian Lane, 8 [3] . He died on April 17, 1939 in Moscow. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery . Together with E. A. Lepkovsky, his wife, Lepkovskaya Alexandra Nikolaevna (1868-1941), an artist, was buried. [four]
