Salcedo began playing football at the Guadalajara Club Academy. In 2008, he left his hometown and played for some time for the youth teams of WANL Tigres and the American Real Salt Lake . On May 5, 2013, in a match against the Canadian Vancouver Whitecaps , Carlos made his MLS debut [2] . In the same year, Salcedo became the finalist of the MLS Cup and Lamar Hunt Cup . September 20, 2014 in a duel against the Colorado Rapids , he scored his first goal for Real Madrid [3] .

In early 2015, Carlos returned to Mexico by signing a contract with Guadalajara. On January 19, in a match against UNAM Pumas, he made his debut in the Mexican Example [4] . On March 2, in a duel against Monterrey , Salcedo scored his first goal for the team [5] .

In the summer of 2016, Carlos, on loan, moved to the Italian Fiorentina [6] . On September 25, in a match against Milan , he made his debut in the Italian Serie A [7] . In the summer of 2017, Salcedo was leased with the option of redemption to the German Eintracht [8] . On September 9, in his match against the Mönchengladbach Borussia , he made his debut in the Bundesliga [9] . At the end of the season, Carlos helped the club win the German Cup .

In early 2019, Salcedo returned to his homeland, signing a contract with WANL Tigres . On February 9, in his match against Veracruz , he made his debut for a new team [10] . In a duel against Queretaro , Carlos scored his first goal for WANL Tigres.

International Career

On April 16, 2015, in a friendly match against the US national team, Salcedo made his debut for the Mexican national team [11] .
