Moscow Soloists - Moscow Chamber Ensemble. The artistic director, conductor and soloist of the ensemble is Yuri Bashmet.

History

The ensemble “Soloists of Moscow” was created in 1992 by Yu. A. Bashmet .

The ensemble includes graduates and postgraduates of the Moscow Conservatory.

The first performance of the ensemble was held on May 19, 1992 in the Great Hall of the Conservatory. The ensemble tours, takes part in foreign and domestic festivals.

At different times the ensemble performed at different times by the performers S. T. Richter (piano), M. L. Rostropovich (cello), G. Kremer, V. V. Tretyakov, M. Vengerov (violin), V. Repin (violin ), S. Chang (violin, USA), B. Hendricks (soprano, USA), J. Galway (flute, Ireland), N. Gutman (cello), L. Harrell (cello, USA), M. Brunello (cello , Italy), T. Quasthoff (bass, Germany), Vitaly Astakhov (viola).

Ensemble sponsor - is a group of companies Bosco di Ciliegi.

Repertoire

The repertoire of the ensemble includes the best and rarely performed works of national and world classics, including works by composers Telemann, Mozart, Schoenberg, Schnittke, E. Mirzoyan (Symphony for strings and timpani), JS Bach (Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat major for two violas, strings and basso continuo), F. Schubert (Sonata “Arpeggione”, Symphony No. 4 “Tragic”), P. Tchaikovsky (Andante cantabile for viola and strings, “Memoirs of Florence”), A. Dvorak (Serenade for string orchestra in E major), M. Bruch (Romance for viola and strings x F major, Op. 85), and others.

Tours

The ensemble tours on cities of Russia (more than 42 concerts in 39 cities) and abroad (more than 1500 concerts in 50 countries of the world).

The Soloists of Moscow Ensemble performed on the stages: Carnegie Hall in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Santori Hall in Tokyo, Barbican Hall in London, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Muzikpraine in Vienna, in the Berlin Philharmonic, "Academy of Santa Cecilia" in Rome, in the Sydney Opera House, etc.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ensemble in 2011–2012, he performed in London , Berlin , Milan , Helsinki, Washington , Toronto, Singapore , Tokyo , Beijing , Shanghai.

Participates in the Winter Festival of Classical Music in Sochi, in the festivals “Musical Weeks in Tours” (France), “Elbe - Musical Island of Europe”, festivals in Ravenna (Italy), Montreux (Switzerland), Bath (England), Sydney (Australia) “December evenings to them. Svyatoslav Richter and Dedications to Oleg Kagan in Moscow, in the charity and cultural programs of NOVATEK.
