Biography

Terry O'Quinn was born in Sault Ste. Marie , Michigan . He studied at Central Michigan University , and then at the University of Iowa . He began to go bald since he was 20 years old [2] [3] .

Since childhood, Terry was fond of music . At school, he played drums in various orchestras, but he always dreamed of learning to play the guitar . In ninth grade, after working for six months at the local stable, O'Quinn saved up money and bought himself a good tool. I wrote a guitar tutorial in the mail and thus learned the basics. During his student years, O'Quinn was often seen in restaurants and clubs in Iowa City as a singer and guitarist. There is a legend that at one of these "concerts" Terry met Ozzy Osbourne, who appeared in Iowa after the performance of " Black Sabbath ". He just finished work in the group and planned to start a solo career. Impressed by O'Quinn's improvisations and original guitar technique, Osborne offered to join him, but the young man shocked Ozzy with a refusal.

O'Quinn's debut in the movie took place in 1970 : he starred in two low-budget films. In 1978, the 26-year-old Terry moved to Los Angeles and was fully committed to acting. It was then that he decided to add " O ' " to his surname so that he would not be confused with the actor Terry Quinn, who was already filming at that time [ English ] .

In 1979, O'Quinn was approved for a small role in the film " The Gates of Paradise ." According to the scenario, his hero had to ride a lot and Terry had to take lessons from the girl of instructor Lori, whose parents owned a horse farm. A stormy romance began to twirl between them, and in November 1979 they got married. Soon they had two sons: Oliver and Hunter.

Terry became famous after the psychologically complex role of a serial killer in the drama " Stepfather ".

Terry O'Quinn is friends with X-Files producer Chris Carter and Lost producer J.J. Abrams . Owner of an Irish terrier named Reggae.
