Born in the village of Archadinskaya, Region of the Don Cossacks (now the Volgograd Region) in the family of a teacher. Following the older brothers went to the Urals, worked on the railway, collector in exploration parties.

In 1937 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Geological Institute. During student practice he worked in field batches in the Urals, Altai, Transbaikalia. Received a referral to the FEB "Allyzolovolzagruzka", was the head and chief geologist of the parties in the Khabarovsk Territory.

In 1944-1956 Chief Geologist of Lifudzinskaya GRE (Primorsky Krai). Supervised the exploration of new deposits: Vysokogorskoe, Novo-Monastyrskoe, Levitskoe, Deciduous. In 1956-1969 - Chief Geologist Imanskaya GRE. Participant in the discovery and exploration of the Vostok-2 tungsten deposit. In 1970-1985 the senior geologist of the South-Primorskaya GRE.

Discoverer of several large and unique deposits of non-ferrous metals; Hero of Socialist Labor. Awarded two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor and many medals.

The Lenin Prize of 1966 - for the discovery of the Vostok-2 tungsten deposit.

He died and was buried in Vladivostok.
