Volleyball competitions at the I European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 28 June 2015 . Four sets of awards were played in classic and beach volleyball tournaments.

Volleyball
Event Format
12 men's and 12 women's teams took part in the competition. The tournament formula is similar to that used at the Olympic Games: according to the results of group stage matches, four teams from two groups reached the playoffs and continued to fight for medals in the playoff system, starting from the quarter-finals.

Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball competitions were held from 16 to 21 June with the participation of 32 men's and 31 women's teams at the Beach Arena .
Changes in the beach volleyball rules announced by the International Volleyball Federation in March 2014 and tested in FIVB World Tour competitions were tested at the Games. The changes relate to the rules for touching the block and first touching the command [1] .
The rating points earned by the teams will be taken into account when qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics [2] [3] .
