He graduated from the Blagoveshchensk exploration college. In 1956-1957 he served in the Army. In 1954-1956 and since 1957, a geologist of the Iman expedition, since 1961 the head of the Piedmont Party.
From 1969 to 1992, the head of the Imanskoye (Taiga) exploration expedition, in which about one and a half thousand people worked.
In the last years of his life, he was a consultant in geology and a member of the board of directors of the Primorsky Mining and Processing Plant and the Mining Company AIR.
Laureate of the Lenin Prize of 1966 for the discovery of the tungsten deposit Vostok-2 ( Primorsky Territory ).
Honored Geologist of the RSFSR . He was awarded the sign "Field Discoverer".
He died on March 17, 2008 after a serious long illness.
