Wrote the libretto for operas by Adolf Adana ( Toreador , 1849), ( Gilles-the Reaver , 1838; Magic Water , 1839; Porsherons , 1850), Francois Bazin ( Madelone , 1852), Napoleon Reber ( Father Gaillard , 1852) and Ambroise Tom ( Angelica and Medor , 1843; , 1849; Tonelli , 1853; The Carnival of Venice , 1857; Zhiye and Zhiyoten , 1874).
In 1827, Toma Savage was one of the first in France to perform Shakespeare in his native English. For this, a theater troupe was specially invited from England [1] . Tom Savage was an acquaintance of Alexander Dumas father . After his death, Savage was invited to the conference on renaming one of the streets of Paris to Alexandre Dumas street ( Fr. ), as evidenced by the remaining correspondence. [2]
