Babele
Babele ( rum. Babele - “old women”, “old women”) - rocky outcrops in the Bucegi mountain range in Romania , within the Southern Carpathians . One of the seven natural wonders of Romania .
The name comes from the type of rock formations of the mushroom form, formed as a result of erosion of rocks of different hardness. Altitude - 2206 m.
Another rock formation in the same area because of the visual similarity with the Egyptian Sphinx is called the Bucegi Sphinx .
