Biography
Renata is the youngest child of three children in the family of Miriam Leonardo Pereira and Peter Sohachevsky. In 1964, she began to comprehend the artistic profession when she entered the Theater Catholic University under the direction of director Amir Hubbad. In 1968, Renata attended psychology courses, but decided to get a scholarship and enroll in the AFS cultural exchange program . Renata studied in Los Angeles and, having finished, devoted herself to drama courses. When she returned to Brazil , she became a director of plays and finally gave herself to this profession, to the delight of many fans who today have the opportunity to watch and admire her work. Her first play was “Coronel de Macambira” in 1970, and Diaz Gomez called her for his first television role in the telenovela “On Earth as Heaven \ Assim na Terra Como no Céu”. Renata’s character, Nivea, dies in the very first series, but at the request of the audience, her life on the screen is extended.
Renata has two actors nephews - Deborah Evelyn and Carlos Evelyn , the children of her older sister Susana. The actress has an older brother Antonio Claudio.
Renata Sorra was married three times. The first husband was actor Carlos Vereza , with whom she lived from 1969 to 1971. The second husband was the actor and director Marcus Paulo , from whom she has a daughter, Mariana. For six years she was married to the author and director of the theater Euclidis Marinho (screenwriter of " Castles in the Air "). Renata also had a romantic relationship with Andre Goncalves , Roberto Bonfim , Paulo Coelho .
