History

Opened on December 2, 1990. Lyudmila Ivanovna Ivanova , People’s Artist of Russia, and since 1957 the actress of the Moscow Theater Sovremennik , played a major role in creating the theater. She supervised the work of the theater until her death in 2016, after which the post of artistic director part-time was taken by the head of the Children's Musical Theater of the Young Actor Alexander Fedorov. [1] [2]

The idea to create a theater arose when Lyudmila Ivanova and her husband Valery Milyaev and composer Viktor Friedman composed the musical “Profitable Place” after Ostrovsky and wanted to put it in Sovremennik, which could not be done, and the musical was put by GITIS associate professor Zhanna Terteryan, inviting Ivanova to teach acting at the institute. The next musical was “Kroshka-Khavroshechka”, but then it was forbidden to stage similar performances with first-year students at GITIS, which led to the creation of a separate theater. [3]

The premises for the theater were found with the help of the deputies Nikolai Gonchar and Sergey Demyanyuk, and Lyudmila Ivanova herself at that time was a deputy of the Basmanny district of Moscow. [3]

The first artists were students of GITIS (now the Academy of Theatrical Art), the faculty of musical theater.

The first performance "Kroshka-Khavroshechka and the Magic Cow"

"Expromt" is actively working with the children's art school named after V. A. Vatagin and the studio of aesthetic education under the control of Lyudmila Ivanovna Ivanova . Studio members and its graduates play in theater productions [4] .

The theater repeatedly went on tour to Tver, Arkhangelsk, Krasnodar Krai, Petersburg, Riga, cities of Poland.

Participant of the International Theater Festival "Melikhov Spring" ("Country Amours", 2002), winner of the 1st Moscow Open Festival of Small Forms Performances for Children "Fairy World" ("Hedgehog in the Fog", 2007).

Activity

The children's musical theater "Impromptu" is designed for a young audience, and puts works of Russian classics, fairy tales of the peoples of the world, Russian folk tales: " Ali Baba and 40 thieves ," " Hedgehog in the Fog ", " Masha and the Bear ." Parents are allowed to attend the performances, the performances are prepared for them: “Pages of Life”, “Country Amuras”. All performances are accompanied by music played by an orchestra consisting of actors and vocalists of the dramatic genre [4] .

Children's theater is simply necessary for the city. Because we have to educate the future viewer, and just good people. And our theater is really kind, and all our performances end well. Even the Tin Soldier does not burn in the fire, but marries the Ballerina .
