The museum is located at: Moscow, st. Larch alley, 2b. The museum building is an architectural monument of the 18th century of federal significance (architect A. F. Kokorinov) - the former Petrovsko-Razumovskoye estate. Livestock Museum - a livestock educational and research institution.

History
The livestock museum named after E.F. Liskun was created in 1950 through the efforts of the livestock scientist Academician Efim Fedotovich Liskun , at the K.A. Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy in accordance with Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 1861 dated May 5, 1950 and an order under the Ministry of Agriculture USSR economy No. 787 of May 12, 1950. Initially, the museum was located at the Department of Cattle Breeding, the Academy, and since 1975 - in a two-story building of the second half of the 18th century, part of the Agricultural Academy complex.
The museum building was built in the style of Russian classicism, designed by architect A.F. Kokorinov. The building has several multi-storey buildings, forming a square. The building has a patio with an entrance gate. The building has round towers in the corners of the building and hipped gabled towers.
The building at Razumovsky served as a horse yard.
Museum Exposition
The museum’s exposition includes items related to animal husbandry: skeletons and stuffed animals, about 600 animal skulls from different geographical areas of Europe and Asia. The exposition tells visitors about the development of domestic zootechnical science and animal husbandry - pig breeding, dairy and beef cattle breeding, sheep breeding, poultry farming, deer breeding, rabbit breeding, fur farming, fish farming, pond fish farming, etc.
On display are souvenirs with animal images [1] , photographs of famous scientists, photographs of animal breeds, people whose work is related to animal husbandry, books, documents and materials about the origin of domestic animals, the work of scientists from the 18th to 19th centuries that stood at the origins of the Russian zootechnical science, documents related to the activities of scientists - I. N. Chernopyatov, N. P. Chirvinsky, P. N. Kuleshov, M. I. Pridorogin, E. A. Bogdanova, M. F. Ivanova, E. F. Liskuna, I. S. Popov, sculptural busts of scientists E. F. Liskuna, I. S. Popov, E. A. Arzumanyan, N. I. Kleimenov but.
On display is a collection of wool, including wool of 30 fine-wool, half-fine-wool and coarse-haired sheep.
A memorial office of Liskun was created at the museum [2] .
The museum takes part in the educational process of the K.A. Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy.
