Apanteles irenecarrilloi (lat.) Is a species of small riders of the genus Apanteles from the subfamily Microgastrinae of the Braconida family ( Braconidae ). Discovered in Central America : Costa Rica (Alajuela) [1] .

Description
Small-sized hymenoptera insects : body length from 2.3 to 2.4 mm, front wing length 2.5-2.6 mm. The main color is dark brown. Claws of paws are simple. The ratio of the length and width of the pterostigma: 3.6 and more. They parasitize on moth-shaped butterflies from the family of Grass-firing grass ( Crambidae ), Asturodes fimbriauralis . The species was first described in 2014 by Canadian entomologist Jose Fernandez-Triana ( Jose L. Fernández-Triana ; Department of Integrative Biology and the University of Guelph , Guelph , Ontario , Canada ) and is named after Irene Carrillo for her contribution to the work ( Irene Carrillo ; ACG Programa del Comedor Santa Rosa, Costa Rica) [1] .
