First mentioned in 1347 under the name Cuzerowe (which means "goat" or "thrush"). According to legend, in the caves near Kozierov, the pirate Klaus Störtebeker found a cache of treasures. [1] At the beginning of the 18th century, Kozerov became part of Prussian Pomerania .
All the time the village existed, its inhabitants lived at the expense of fishing and agriculture. After connecting June 1, 1911 [2] to the railway, Kozerov became a popular resort. Amber Spa is one of the four cities along with Zempin, Loddin and Ikkeritz. All of them are located in the narrowest part of the island, on a 12-kilometer stretch of Amber Beach. In 1993, it became a certified resort. In Kozierovo you can go sailing, surfing, swimming, hiking and cycling in the picturesque surroundings. [3]
