Biography
Born April 29, 1893 to Fenlake (now Romania ) in the family of Timofii and Misirki [1] .
After graduating from elementary school, he entered the Grgeteg Monastery [1] . He was tonsured as a monk on the day of St. Peter of 1919 by the head of the Monastery Grgeteg, Archimandrite Daniel (Pantelic) . In the rank of deacon, he was ordained by the Bishop of Temishvarsky Georgy (Letych) [1] . Appointed court and patriarchal deacon [2] .
As a court deacon, he graduated from high school, then graduated from the Theological Seminary in Bitola and the Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade [1] .
He occupied the position of economist of the Spiritual seminar in Sremsky Karlovtsy , economist of the Patriarchal Court in Belgrade [1] .
On the feast of the holy Archangel Michael in 1938, the Patriarch of Serbia Gabriel ordained Archdeacon Longin to the rank of hieromonk , and on the day of Saint Nicholas elevated him to the rank of archimandrite [1] . From the same year he was the prior of the Vrdnik-Ravanitsa Monastery [3] .
Thanks to Archimandrite Longin in 1941, the relics of Holy King Uros, Holy Prince Lazarus and Holy Righteous Stefan Shtilyanovic were saved from destruction and transferred to the Belgrade Cathedral Church.
During World War II, he lived as a refugee in Belgrade , and after the war, in 1945, he returned to Vrdnik, where work began on the restoration of the monastery [3] . He also headed the Beochin Monastery [1] .
On June 12, 1951, by the decision of the Council of Bishops, he was elected Bishop of Zakhumsko-Hercegovachsky [4] . On July 1 of the same year, his episcopal consecration took place in the Cathedral Church in Belgrade [1] , which was performed by: Patriarch Vincent , Bishop Branichevsky Veniamin (Taushanovic) and Bishop Budimlyansk-Polimsky Macarius (Djordjevic) [5] .
At the next meeting of the Sacred Bishops' Council in 1955, he was transferred to the Zvornitsa-Tuzlan diocese [3], with the administrative administrator (interim administrator) of the Zakhum-Herzegovina diocese retained. September 18 of the same year in the Tuzlaan temple held his nastolovanie [3] .
In this diocese, Bishop Longin paid special attention to the construction of new parish churches and the training of priestly and monastic cadres.
He died on August 25, 1977 in the Monastery of Tavna , where he was buried.
