Gelbenzande ( German: Gelbensande ) is a commune in Germany , in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Translated into Russian, “Gelbensande” means “Yellow Sands”. Part of the district of Bad Doberan . Subject to the management of Rostokker Heide . It covers an area of 34.05 km². From the northern part it is surrounded by forest, the area of which is about 12.000 hectares. The main industries are woodworking and tourism. The combination of sea and forest air in this region has a positive effect on health and, therefore, is increasingly in demand among tourists.
