Ellen Gustafson ( born Ellen Gustafson ; born in USA ) is an American businessman, social entrepreneur and activist in the food system. She is best known as one of the co-founders of FEED Projects together with Lauren Bush [1] , and also as the founder of the non-profit organization 30 Project [2] . In addition, she was the US representative in the UN World Food Program and founded the non-profit organization Food Tank , in collaboration with Daniel Nyerenberg , which addresses hunger, obesity and poverty [3] [4] .

Biography
Gustafson graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in international politics. Soon, she began working on the Council on Foreign Relations , and then as a correspondent for ABC News, specializing in terrorism [5] .
In 2007, Gustafson co-founded the FEED Projects charity along with Lauren Bush, the niece of former US President George W. Bush . “FEED Projects” makes bags, all the profits from the sales of which go to the fund of the UN World Food Program [6] [7] . FEED bags are made from 100% organic, ethically acceptable materials. The project aims to provide lunch for 1 student throughout the year. Participation in this project brought her many awards, including she was named one of the most influential women entrepreneurs according to the version of Fortune magazine in 2009 [8] . She is also the former Executive Director of the FEED Foundation, which aims to fight hunger worldwide and provide school meals to 60 million children around the world [9] .
Gustafson is the founder and CEO of 30 Project [10] . This nonprofit organization is committed to changing food production and consumption over the next 30 years, as well as addressing the global food inequality that underlies both epidemics: obesity and hunger. In addition, the “30 Project” also attracts various companies in the food industry in an attempt to completely change these problems [11] . In the “30 Project”, Gustafson works in collaboration with Daniel Nyerenberg [12] .
