Career
Club career
Daniel started playing football at a club from his hometown, Piestany, in 2009 he joined the Trencin youth team.
Bednarik made his debut for the core of Trencin on March 2, 2013 in a meeting with Spartacus from Miyawa [2] . In his fourth match in the Slovak Championship, Daniel scored with a goal [3] . On April 20, 2013, at the 72th minute of the game with “ Zhilina ”, the defender was sent off. Left in the minority, “Trencin” missed and lost with the score 1: 2 [4] .
On July 25, 2013, Bednarik made his debut in European cups, replacing in the 2013/14 Europa League qualifying round meeting against the Swedish Gothenburg [5] . In the 2013/14 season, the defender spent only one championship match, marking the replacement in the game with Dukla from Banska Bystritsa [6] .
In the season 2014/15, which became successful for Trencin, who won the championship and the Slovak Cup, Bednarik did not participate in any match.
Career in the national team
In 2013, Daniel spent 2 games for the junior national team of Slovakia (under 19 years) in the elite selection round for the European Championship [7] [8] .
