“A Million Voices” ( Rus. Million Voices ) is a song performed by Russian singer Polina Gagarina in the Eurovision 2015 music contest from Russia . Created by Gabriel Alares ( Sweden ), Joachim Björnberg (Sweden), Katrina Nurbergen ( Germany ), Leonid Gutkin and Vladimir Matetskiy (Russia) [1] .

Song Information
The song “A Million Voices” was announced as a participant at Eurovision 2015 on March 15, 2015 [2] [3] [4] . On April 12, Gagarina performed it at the Vienna Evening in Moscow [5] .
Having taken the 1st place with the song in the first semi-final on May 19 , Polina Gagarina reached the final of the competition. Bookmakers have raised the chances of winning from fourth to second place [6] [7] . As a result, Polina Gagarina took 2nd place in the Eurovision finals, gaining 303 points.
Russian version
On July 14, 2015, a version of the song in Russian called “Us Millions” [8] was presented on the Russian Radio .
Part of the melody of the song is similar to the melody of the song "Letter", where the girl sings "I want to find myself ...". And the melody where Polina sings “million voices ...” is similar to the melody where Dmitry Koldun sings “do you believe me ...”.
Video clip
A video clip of the song was presented on March 15, 2015 [9] . On the same day, it was published on the official channel of the contest on the YouTube site [10] . On August 1, 2015, more than 14 million people watched it, which made the video the leader of views among all participants of Eurovision 2015 [11] .
25 people took part in the filming of the video. These are children, adults and elderly people of different races and nationalities, speaking different languages [12] , but according to the plot of all these people, another language unites - love [13] .

Cover versions
On May 21, 2015, representatives of the Republic of Belarus at Eurovision 2012 , the Litesound group presented a cover version of the song “A Million Voices” and its video clip [36] .
Criticism
- Valery Meladze called the song not bad, but it requires repeated listening [37] .
- Anastasia Prikhodko , representing Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 , negatively commented on the song: “Another ballad, speculation, children, pens, old people, a white dress, nagging and pleading for a decent place in the finale! That's all! Not surprised, not interesting ” [38] .
Success
The Austrian and British press immediately called the song the favorite of Eurovision [39] .
After the final of the competition and second place, the song began to confidently rise in the world music charts. So, in particular, “A Million Voices” reached the 25th line in the iTunes world chart, overtaking the top world artists and became the first song of the domestic artist, which entered the top 50 of the world iTunes for all its existence [40] .
The single also entered the UK's top 50 iTunes. This is the second case after the tATu group [41] . Also, “A Million Voices” topped the domestic iTunes chart [42] .
Polina Gagarina with the song “A Million Voices” became the first Russian-speaking artist to hit the Australian iTunes chart in the history of his existence [43] .
In June 2015, single sales in Europe exceeded 2 million copies and the International Federation of Phonogram Producers announced the award of the Golden Disc in Sweden [44] .
