Biography
He graduated from the prestigious Gyeonggi Secondary School in Seoul, and in 1981 from Songyungwan University Law School. For more than thirty years he worked in the prosecutor's office. He served as prosecutor of the cities of Changwon , Daegu and Busan .
Since March 2013 - Minister of Justice of the Republic of Korea, on May 21, 2015 he was nominated for the post of Prime Minister of the country, on June 18, 2015, the parliament approved his appointment as head of government.
On December 9, 2016 , in connection with the impeachment against President Park Geun-hye , he became, in accordance with the constitution, the acting president of the Republic of Korea. [1] In the post of acting The President of the Republic of Korea, Hwang Gyeong, stayed until May 10, 2017 . On this day, Moon Jae-in became the new President of the Republic of Korea .
On May 11, 2017, Hwang Gyoang resigned from his post as prime minister of the country. President Moon Jae-Ying, at a meeting with him, offered to perform duties until the formation of a new government. However, Hwang Gyoang refused [2] .
Personal life
Goyang is married and has two children: a son and a daughter.
