Jingtai ( Chinese ex. 景泰 , pinyin : Jǐngtài ) is a county of Baiyin City District of Gansu Province ( PRC ).

History
During the Qin Empire, Yuezhi lived on these lands. In 174 BC e. they were supplanted by the Huns . Under the Western Han Empire during the reign of Emperor Wu-di, General Ho Quibin in 121 BC. e. defeated the Huns and annexed these places to the Han Empire; Aowei County (媪 围 县) was established in these places.
After the overthrow of the power of the Mongols and the establishment of the Chinese Ming Empire, the Jinglu guard (靖 虏 卫) was created in 1437.
After the establishment of the Manchu empire, the Qing Jinglu guard was renamed the Jingyuan guard (靖远 卫) in 1644, which in 1730 became the county of Jingyuan. In 1757, the Hongshui Entrance (红 水分 县) was formed. After the Xinhai revolution , administrative reform was carried out in China, and in 1913, the Hongshui suburb was transformed into Hongshui County (红 水 县).
In 1933, the lands of Jingyuan County, west of the Yellow River, were annexed to Hongshui County, which was renamed Jingtai County.
In 1949, Jingtai County became part of the Wuwei Special Region (武威 专区). In 1955, Wuwei Special District was disbanded, and Jingtai County became part of the Dingxi Special Region (定 西 专区). In 1958, Jingtai County was annexed to Gaolan County.
By the Decree of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China of April 11, 1958, Baiyin City County was formed from the adjacent territories of Gaolan and Jingyuan counties; The territory of the former Jingtai county became part of Baiyin. On July 4, 1958, he was directly subordinate to the government of Gansu Province. On October 25, 1958, the Gansu Provincial Government delegated the administration of Baiyin City to the authorities of the Dingxi Special Region. In November 1960, Jingyuan County came under the jurisdiction of the Baiyin authorities. In 1961, Baiyin again came under direct control to the authorities of Gansu Province, and Gaolan County was attached to it; in November 1961, Jingtai County was recreated, which also remained under the jurisdiction of the Baiyin authorities. In 1963, Baiyin City was disbanded, and Jingtai County became part of the Wuwei Special District.
On May 14, 1985, by order of the State Council of the PRC, the Baiyin City District was re-formed, and Jintai County became part of it again.
