History

In the second half of the 18th century, the estate ensemble, which included the main house, the garden and the outbuilding, occupied the entire block from Barykovsky Lane to Sechenovsky. The main house was built in the 1770s on the basis of the chambers of the first half of the 18th century, at that time the Moscow police chief Nikolai Arkharov was the owner of the estate. The building was made in the style of early classicism. At the same time, single-storey outbuildings that fenced from both sides were built. The manor was damaged in a fire in 1812 , but was restored. The house was crowned with a mezzanine with a semicircular window, the facade is decorated with twin and single Corinthian columns on either side of the main entrance. In the 1830s, the wings of the main house and the outbuilding were built on, and in 1869-74, the architect A. L. Ober carried out their reconstruction with the replacement of wooden buildings with stone ones [2] .

After Arkharov, the estate was owned by General G. I. Bibikov . In 1835-1837, the estate was owned by the poet Denis Vasilyevich Davydov , and Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin was a guest here. After the manor was placed in the estate women's gymnasium S. A. Arseneva [2] . In Soviet times, the district committee of the Communist Party was located in the house. A memorial plaque was installed on the facade in memory of D. V. Davydov by A. Kotyrev [3] . In the early 1930s, Vera Figner lived in the house [4] .

Currently, the manor has been restored, but the original interiors have been lost [3] , according to other information, 19th century murals remain [5] .
