Geographical position
Kieltsin is located approximately 12 kilometers south of Greifswald , 22 kilometers south- west of Volgast , 19 kilometers north- west of Anklam and 3 kilometers north- east of Guckow .
History
For the first time, the mention of the largest community of modern Kölzin (Darghetsin) is found in the certificate of ownership of the Cistercian monastery "Elden" ( German Kloster Eldena ) and dates back to 1232 . Since 1294, the environs of Darghetsin passed into the possession of the Behr family ( German Behr ), which changed only after the end of World War II .
In 1897, a branch of the Greifswald - Järmen railway line was carried out through the village, which was, however, dismantled in 1945 to pay reparations .
Administrative division
Keltsin is part of the Eastern Vorpommern region . Until January 1, 2005, the settlement was part of the management of Amt Gückov ( German: Amt Gützkow ), but is currently subordinated to the management of Amt Züssow ( German: Amt Züssow ), with headquarters in Züssow .
