Mitchell Kobe Michael Grassi , abbreviated as Mitch Grassi is an American singer and musician, is best known as a member of the Pentatonix quintet chapel . He is also a YouTube person and hosts the Superfruit online show with another band member and best friend, Scott Howing.

Content
Early years
Mitch grew up in Arlington , Texas , USA . Parents are Mike and Nel Grassi. Mitch also has an older sister, Jessa (age difference of 7 years). Mitch's mother is a dental hygienist, and her sister is a freelance writer.
He met Scott Hawing in elementary school at the theater production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Later, in James Martin High School, they met Kirstin Maldonado, organized a chapel trio and in 2010 recorded their first cover of Lady Gaga 's song “ Telephone ” [1] .
In 2011, Kevin Olushola and Avi Kaplan joined them to participate in The Sing-Off project. The quintet won the third season of the project [2] . Because of the performance, Mitch missed the graduation ceremony on graduation day.
The name of the group was proposed by Scott Howing and comes from pentatonic scale - a musical scale of five notes in an octave (similar to the five members of the group).
Career
Mitch is a countertenor and the youngest member of Pentatonix until Matt Sally joins her. To date, the group has released four albums, one of which “That's Christmas To Me" has become double platinum [3] . In February 2015, the group won a Grammy Award in the category "Best Instrumental or Cappella Arrangement" with the song "Daft Punk" [4] . Currently, the group’s channel on YouTube has more than 14 million subscribers and more than three billion views [5] .
In 2015, the group received the second Grammy Award in the category "Best Instrumental or Cappella Arrangement" for the song "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy", and in 2017 the third Grammy in the category "Best Country Performance by Duet or band "for the song" Jolene "- Pentatonix with the participation of Dolly Parton.
Third- Projects
In August 2013, together with a childhood friend and band member Scott Howing, he created the YouTube Superfruit online show, aired every Tuesday. In their videos, the guys organize competitions, answer questions from the audience, and also organize joint issues with other famous YouTube and celebrities. Musicians often cover songs by other artists such as Beyoncé , Taylor Swift , Miley Cyrus and Troy Sivan . At the moment, the channel has more than two million subscribers [6] .
