Presumably, the name is associated with the Old Russian personal name Batyun (Old Man, Batyushko).

Geographical location

The village of Batyunino was located in the south-east of Moscow, in the flood plain of the Moscow River , on the left bank of the Batyuninsky lake.

History

The village has been known since the 17th century, at that time it was part of the Kolomna palace volost. It was home to 10 families of fishermen, who were called “purses”. This name appeared due to the fact that the fishermen were renting dues in the form of a fish purse. Under the purse was meant a tank for transporting fish. The inhabitants of Batyunino not only fished for the royal palace, but also protected the ponds from outsiders.

For their service, fishermen received land plots. In the 1670s their homes, pastures, arable land, hayfields, and skitters were housed on 85 acres of land.

After the beginning of the XVIII century. the capital was moved to St. Petersburg fishing began to decline. Residents were forced to pay cash dues.

In the middle of the XIX century. In Batyunino, there were 31 courtyards, in which there were about 200 inhabitants.

In the features of Moscow, the village entered in 1960.
