Jessica Julie Ann Garlick ( born Jessica Julie Anne Garlick ; born 1981) is a British ( Welsh ) pop singer who gained fame after participating in Eurovision 2002 .

She took her first steps in show business at the age of 16, when she reached the final of the Welsh talent show Star For A Night . Then she appeared in the show of Michael Barrymore My Kind of Music . In 2002, she represented Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest .

Born and raised in Wales . Studied at Glan-y-Mor Comprehensive School . He is a member of the religious organization Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
Before appearing in the reality show Pop Idol, she took part in the TV show Michael Barrymore My Kind Of Music and Star For A Night [1] .
Participation in Pop Idol and Eurovision
In 2001, the singer took part in the first release of the famous talent show "Pop Idol", which was broadcast on the ITV channel, and entered the top ten contestants. A little later, she was invited by the Air Force Corporation to participate in the contest for selecting a performer for Eurovision 2002. Jessica performed one of her famous songs “Come back” and was chosen by the public to represent Great Britain at Eurovision in Tallinn . Jessica's performance was successful, and she shared the third prize with Estonian singer Salene, gaining the same number of votes. This was the best result of the British artist since 1998, when the second place at the Eurovision Song Contest was taken by singer Imaani with the hit “Where are you?” [2] .
After Eurovision
At the end of 2002, Garlik participated in an advertising campaign against child smoking . Jessica appeared at Eurovision 2003, which took place in Riga, where she had to announce the result of the performance of the British artist - the group Jemini , which did not receive a single spectator vote and took the last place in the competition. In the same year, the singer repeatedly participated in Eurovision advertising campaigns and various analytical programs.
On November 6, 2006, Garlik appeared on the Air Force's Recognize the Musician show as a secret artist, whom viewers should recognize by voice. After that, the singer decided to take a break in her career in order to spend more time with her family. She is currently married to Owen Satterly, whom she had known since a young age. In this marriage, the couple had a daughter, Olivia and son Noah.
Return to Music
In May 2009, Jessica announced her return to the music scene. On May 11 of the same year, one day before the first semi-final of Eurovision 2009, Garlik recorded the single “Hard Not to Fall” [3] , which was available only on iTunes . Later, Jessica recorded a music video for this song, which she posted on her official website [4] . On April 17, 2009, Jessica attended the semifinal of the selection of the British performer for Eurovision 2009, held in the historical district of London - King Cross , where she performed her song “Come Back”, with which she took third place at Eurovision 2002 [5] .
