History
- 1923 - The Polish Radio Engineering Partnership ( Polskie Towarzystwo Radiotechniczne , PTR ) was established.
- 1925, February 1, PTR on long waves launched the first radio channel in Poland - Warsaw I ( Warszawa I ).
- 1927, February 15 PTR on medium waves in Lesser Poland launched the regional radio channel Radio Kraków
- 1927, April 24th PTR on medium waves in Greater Poland launched the regional radio channel Radio Poznań
- 1927, December 4 PTR in the middle waves in Upper Silesia launched the regional radio channel Radio Katowice
- 1930, January 15, PTR launched the regional radio channel Radio Łódź on medium waves
- 1935, January 15 PTR in the middle waves in Pomerania launched the regional radio channel Radio Toruń
- 1936 - PTR launched the international radio station Warsaw III ( Warszawa III ) in English and Polish in shortwaves, which later became known as the Polish Radio for Foreign Affairs ( Polskie Radio dla Zagranicy ), in which by the 1950s. English, French, German, Italian, Danish, Finnish, Spanish, Greek, Russian and Turkish services appeared, and by the 1970s Polish, Czech and Swedish services were added to them.

- 1952 - Radio Olsztyn, Radio Kielce, Radio Lublin, Radio Rzeszów launched on medium waves
- 1953 - Radio Zachód launched on medium waves
- 1962, April 1 - the third in Poland radio channel PRT Program 3 was launched on ultrashort waves.
- 1968 - Establishment of the Arab service of the Polish Radio for Foreign Affairs
- 1976, January 2 - the fourth in Poland radio channel PRT Program 4 was launched on ultrashort waves.
- 1991 - cessation of broadcasting in Arabic and Spanish, the creation of Lithuanian and Ukrainian services
- 1992 - Polish radio and television becomes a member of the European Broadcasting Union .
- 1992 - closing of the French, Italian, Swedish and Finnish services, opening of the Belarusian service
- 1992, December 29 - The PRT is divided into Polish Radio ( Polskie Radio ) and Polish Television, and the National Broadcasting and Television Council is established.

Foreign service of the Polish radio
The Polish Radio Foreign Service is part of public broadcasting in Poland. The task of the service is to disseminate information on the political, economic and social life of the country, as well as on the directions of Polish foreign policy.
The foreign service is a source of information on Poland’s position on events taking place in Central and Eastern Europe and around the world.
Every day 11 hours of new broadcasts are broadcast in 7 languages: Polish, English, German, Russian , Ukrainian, Belarusian and Hebrew.

Polish Internet Radio
Management and financing
Polish Radio is a joint stock company of the state treasury. It is headed by the board ( Zarząd ) [7] and the supervisory board ( Rada Nadzorcza ) [8] , which is appointed by the National Broadcasting and Radio Broadcasting Council ( Krajowa Rada Radiofonii i Telewizji ), two members of which, in turn, are appointed by the Sejm, one by the Senate and two - by the President. The highest official is the Chairman of the Board of the Polish Radio ( Prezesi Zarządu Polskiego Radia ). Funded by subscription fees and advertising.
