Orlov first graduated from St. Petersburg Seminary , after which he studied at the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, which he graduated in 1885. Then he began working as a teacher of the Russian language at the St. Petersburg Alexander Theological School and as a teacher of arithmetic at the Diocesan Women's School named after Metropolitan Isidor. As an employee of the “Church Herald”, Orlov published several articles and notes in it. In 1888, he received a master's degree in theology after defending his dissertation, “Proceedings of St. Maximus the Confessor on disclosing the dogmatic doctrine of the two wills in Christ ” → . He died in 1890 at the 30th year of his life [1] [2] .
