Iris kamelinii (lat.) - a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Iris ( Iris ) of the Iris family ( Iridaceae ). First described by Russian botanist Nina Borisovna Alekseeva in 2006 [2] [3] .

The species epithet is given in honor of Rudolf Vladimirovich Kamelin , a researcher of the flora of Central Asia [4] .
Distribution and habitatKnown from the Altai Mountains [5] . The range includes the southeast of the Russian Altai, Mongolia (aimak Huvsgel ), and possibly also China . Described from the vicinity of Lake Boguty ( Altai Republic , Russia) [6] .
It is found in rocky steppes, on gravelly and rocky slopes [6] .
