Castle Gerdauen - the castle of the Teutonic Knights , built in 1315 and located in the modern village. Railway. He built the commander Johannes von Winnungen, supervised the construction of the Konigsberg commander Heinrich von Isenber. By the decree of the Government of the Kaliningrad region of March 23, 2007, the castle received the status of an object of cultural heritage of regional importance.

Content
History
The castle was consecrated on the day of Saints Peter and Paul in 1325. In 1347, Olgerd's army approached the gates of the fortress, but did not dare to storm.
Since 1678 nobody lived in the castle. In the XIX century, sold to Baron von Romberg, whose son demolished the old buildings and built the estate, which inherited only the cellars from the castle. After the castle was sold to Alfred von Jansen, who lived there until 1945.
During the Second World War, the manor was slightly damaged, but by the beginning of the XXI century the gate, the ruins of the western wing and the reconstructed well with a stable remained. Since 1947, there has been a veterinary clinic in the stable.
