Prospect (avenida) Medrano is one of the streets of Buenos Aires , Argentina . Named after Pedro Medrano. Located in the areas of Almagro and Palermo , goes south to north. The avenue is known for its avenue of plane trees planted in the late nineteenth century. This street is mainly built up with residential buildings, although there are a small number of shops, some of which include local retail chains.

Traveling the Street
Almagro
Starting in the Almagro area, at the point where Rivadavia Avenue intersects with Castro Barros Street, the latter goes from Medrano to the south. Since 1884, there has been a Cafe of Violets in this place, which was restored by the Administration of the city of Buenos Aires in 2001 [1] . Also here is the Castro Barros metro station, opened in 1914. Through the 100 metro Medrano crosses the bridge, the Sarmiento railway, which was built in 1902 in the Caballito area. The next major intersection of Medrano is Avenida Diaz Veles Street, on which stands the Sid Campreador Monument .
The intersection of Medrano with Avenida Corrientes Avenue is one of the commercial districts of the Almagro area, here is the metro station Medrano , Lines B opened in 1930 [2] . Previously, there was a tram stop at Lacroze, which disappeared with the closure of a tram line in the area in 1962. Next is the World Church "Kingdom of God" , located on the site of the old flower market of the city, which was here until 2004.
Four blocks away is the faculty of the National University of Technology at Medrano 951. On the north side of the street, stands the Iglesia Betania church.
Palermo
Crossing Avenida Cordoba , Medrano enters the Palermo area. Between Salvador and Costa Rica, Plaza Unidad Latinoamericana is located, where the elementary school of commune No. 09 “Cnel. Genaro Beron de Astrada. " On the corner with Charcas street is Plaza Güemes, next to which is the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe (la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe) and Colegio Guadalupe.
