- On March 14, Eli Whitney received a patent for a ginner.

- " Zoonomy, or the Laws of Organic Life " - the work of the English physician and naturalist Erasmus Darwin , published in 1794 in two volumes. The book covers topics such as pathology , anatomy , psychology and the functioning of the human body. The book contains early ideas of evolutionary doctrine , later developed by Erasmus Darwin's grandson, Charles Darwin .
- “On the Origin of Pallas and Other Iron Masses Similar to It and on Some Natural Phenomena Associated with It” is a book by Ernst Hladni [1] , in which he suggested that meteorites originated in space, becoming one of the founders of modern meteorics .
- “The Beginnings of Geometry" is a textbook by Adrien Legendre , which has survived several editions during his lifetime, many translations and posthumous processing by other authors. His book became a model for all pre-revolutionary textbooks on elementary mathematics in Russia.
