Second Division Youth Ice Hockey Championship 2016

The 2016 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship among the youth teams in the II Division is the IIHF IIHF ice hockey competition held from December 13 to 19, 2015 in Elektrenai ( Lithuania ) and from January 17 to 23, 2016 in Novi Sad ( Serbia ). According to the results of the tournament in group A: the team that won the first place got the right to play in group B of the first division of the 2017 World Cup , and the team that took the last place moved to group B. According to the results of the tournament in the group B: the team who won first , entered the group A, and the team that finished last, moved to the third division of the 2017 World Cup .

Participating Teams

12 national teams took part in the championship - nine from Europe , two from Asia and one from Oceania . The Chinese team came from the third division , the Hungarian team came from the first division , the rest from the last tournament of the second division .

Judges

The IIHF has approved 8 head referees and 14 line judges to serve the matches of the second division of the 2016 World Ice Hockey Championship among youth teams.
Group A of the first division was attended by 4 chief and 7 linear referees. Group B of the first division also involved 4 chief and 7 linear referees [1] .
