The 2016 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship among the youth teams in the II Division is the IIHF IIHF ice hockey competition held from December 13 to 19, 2015 in Elektrenai ( Lithuania ) and from January 17 to 23, 2016 in Novi Sad ( Serbia ). According to the results of the tournament in group A: the team that won the first place got the right to play in group B of the first division of the 2017 World Cup , and the team that took the last place moved to group B. According to the results of the tournament in the group B: the team who won first , entered the group A, and the team that finished last, moved to the third division of the 2017 World Cup .
