Vera Nikolaevna Maslennikova ( April 29, 1926 - August 14, 2000 ) - Soviet and Russian mathematician , specialist in the field of partial differential equations, mathematical hydrodynamics and function spaces. Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences, professor, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Born in with. Priluki (near Vologda). Member of the Great Patriotic War.
In 1951 she graduated from Moscow State University . In 1954-1974, a researcher at the Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (1971), professor (1974).
In 1975-1996, head of the department of differential equations and functional analysis of RUDN University .
Awards and titles
- USSR State Prize (1986; as part of a team led by academician S.L. Sobolev),
- Gold medal of Bernard Bolzano of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (1985; for achievements in the development of mathematical sciences),
- Order of the Patriotic War II degree (1985),
- Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (1992).
