John Purdell ( July 8, 1959 - July 10, 2003 ) - American musician and producer , known for his participation in the recording of Ozzy Osbourne 's albums " No More Tears " and " Awake " Dream Theater .

Biography
Born in San Diego and raised in Los Angeles . Both parents - father John Purdell (senior) ( Great Britain ) and mother Arria Purdell ( USA ) were captains in the Salvation Army . John graduated from Verdago Hills High School in the Tahung area (Los Angeles, California ) in 1977. His professional career began there. [one]
In addition to producing a number of well-known albums by artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Abandon Shame, Poison , LA Guns , Dream Theater, KIX , Alice Cooper , Cinderella , Demolition Pit, he also toured with Quiet Riot , Lou Gramm Band and Foreigner as keyboardist. Purdell produced Ozzy Osbourne 's best selling album, “No More Tears,” where he co-wrote the title song. He also wrote lyrics for three songs on Osborne's album Ozzmosis . [one]
He died of cancer on July 10, 2003.
