Campanula poscharsky ( lat. Campánula poscharskyána ) is a small ornamental herbaceous plant , a species of the genus Campanula family Campanulaceae .

Under natural conditions, endemic is found in the north of the Balkan Peninsula .

Botanical Description
A perennial herb, often with many stems, not exceeding 10-20 (30) cm in height. The stems are yellowish-green, sometimes lilac, creeping or rising, usually almost bare or with a few simple pubescence.
The leaves are alternate, green, paler below, ovate in shape, with a sharp end and a heart-shaped base, double-serrate, covered with short simple pubescence, at least along the edges and veins, then bare. Basal leaves 3.5-5.5 × 3.5-5 cm, petioles up to 15 cm long, stem-like, progressively decreasing in size closer to the apex.
Flowers 20–28 mm in diameter, numerous, gathered in loose branched apical inflorescences, on short or medium-length bare or short-pubescent pedicels . Calyx 5-7 mm long, with a reddish tinge, five-lobed, covered with simple pubescence, especially along the edges of the blades. Corolla 10-25 mm long, lilac blue, wide bell-shaped, divided into 5 triangular-ovate petals ½ — ⅔ length. Five stamens with white threads and cream anthers. Pestle lilac, pale at the base.
The fruit is a box of 5-7 mm long with many elliptical pale brown seeds of 1.5-2 mm.
Diploid set of chromosomes - 2n = 34.
Distribution
Endemic of Dalmatia (modern Croatia and Montenegro ). It grows on rocks and rocky areas.
The plant naturalized in New Zealand , as well as in many southern and central regions of the UK .
Taxonomy
The species was first described by the Hungarian botanist A. Degen in the 6th issue of the Hungarian Botanical Magazine ( Magyar Botanikai Lapok ), published in 1908.
Named after the German gardener, botanist and plant collector Gustav Adolf Poscharsky ( Gustav Adolf Poscharsky , 1832-1915), who worked in the Dresden Botanical Garden .
