Andre Nemec ( born André Nemec ; born 1972) is an American screenwriter and producer . His scripts include Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol , Beverly Hills Police Officer 4 , and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . He is also the creator of the ABC Drama Channel Road to Fall, Life on Mars , and Happy City. He also wrote the scripts for the series The Spy , Return to California, and Profiler .

Personal life

The German was born and raised in Yonkers , New York , where he enrolled in Riverdale School with Josh Appelbaum . Then he studied at the Tish School of Art, New York University. After college, he reunited with Appelbaum and entered the entertainment industry as a television screenwriter.

Career

A list of early German work includes "Tomorrow Comes Today" for CBS, "Return to California" for Showtime, and "Crime Racing" for FOX. The German worked for three years on the TV series “Spy,” where he grew to the level of co-executive producer.

Then the German was allowed by his friend and colleague J.J. Abrams to write the script for the film " Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol ", the fourth part of the movie franchise with Tom Cruise in the title role. This was the first full-length film of the German. Based on German’s successful experience with Paramount Pictures on Mission Impossible, German and Appelbaum chose to write a re-launch of the Beverly Hills Police Officer movie starring Eddie Murphy . Other projects include a new story about the adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as scripted work on the film “ The Illusion of Deception ” not mentioned in the credits.

The German is also the executive producer of the movie Continuum .

The German and Appelbaum also remain active on television, where they write scripts and develop (with friends Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner ) an adaptation of James Patterson ’s novel “Menagerie”.

The German is also currently the producer of the unfortunate sci-fi drama series CW.
