Maxim Maksimovich Molonov (born 1970) - Russian Buryat freestyle wrestler, international master of sports of Russia , Honored coach of Russia , champion of Russia in freestyle wrestling, winner of the championships of Russia, participant of European and world championships, winner of the World Cup, winner of the international tournament of the Grand Series -with "Ivan Yarygin."

Biography

Born in the Barguzinsky district of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on April 29, 1970 in a Buryat family, who loved sports. Father Maxim Enheevich was fond of wrestling, athletics, skiing. Mother Butid Sambuevna played volleyball and chess [1] .

Freestyle wrestling and chess M. M. Molonov began to engage in school years. In 1983, the international grandmaster Yuri Razuvaev visited the Barguzinsky district as part of the White Rook tournament and gave a simultaneous game, and the schoolboy Maxim Molonov drew with him.

After that, Razuvaev contributed to the enrollment of Maxim in the correspondence school of the international grandmaster, USSR champion Lev Polugaevsky .

However, Maxim by that time had already decided on his sporting future and chose freestyle wrestling [1] .

In 1993 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Department of the Belarusian State Pedagogical Institute, where he continued to engage in wrestling.

Sports and coaching career

In 1996, he won the Ivan Yarygin International Tournament in Krasnoyarsk .

At the Russian freestyle wrestling championship in 1997, which was held in Kyzyl ( Tuva ), Maxim Molonov became the champion of Russia in the weight category up to 54 kg, winning the fight against Novosibirsk Leonid Chuchunov in the final.

At the Russian freestyle wrestling championship of 2000, held in St. Petersburg , these two wrestlers switched places: Leonid Chuchunov won the “gold”, Maxim Molonov became the silver medalist.

He participated in the Russian national freestyle wrestling team in the European and World Championships.

After completing his wrestling career, he began coaching at the Children's and Youth Sports School 10 in Ulan-Ude [2] .

For several years he worked as a trainer in the USA .

Returning to Russia, he became the head coach of the Russian women's cadet team. Among his pupils is the master of sports of Russia, Stalvira Orshush [3] .

In May 2015, by order of the head of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko, Maxim Molonov was awarded the title “ Honored Coach of Russia ” [4] .

Together with the Estonian coach, Ahto Raska is training the Finnish athlete, world champion Petra Olli [5] .
