Biography
Born on August 8, 1899 .
From 1918 to 1922 he studied in the studio of Eugene Vakhtangov. Then, until the end of his life - 1953, he worked at the Theater of Evgeny Vakhtangov . For some time he was a member of the board of the theater. In 1929-1953, he simultaneously taught at the Shchukin School . He mainly worked in the theater, also acted in films, as a director he took part in the production of performances: “The death of a squadron” by A. Korneychuk in the Modern Theater and “Date” by K. Finn in the Studio of Ruben Simonov.
He died in 1953 . He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery [1] (2nd section, 14th row) [2] .
