Sverdlovo is a village in Konakovsky district of the Tver region of Russia . It is part of the Vakhoninsky rural settlement . The old name is the village of New on the Volga. It is located 10 kilometers southwest of the city of Konakovo on the right bank of the Volga ( Ivankovo reservoir ).

History
From ancient times until the beginning of the 20th century, the village of Novoe on the Volga belonged to the Klinsky district of Moscow province. In the List of populated areas of the province of 1859 [2] the owner's village of Novoe, 148 households, 989 inhabitants.
In 1913, in the village of 215 yards, a rural municipality board , a police officer’s apartment, a zemstvo school , a zemstvo hospital, an almshouse, a postal and telegraph department, a fire brigade, a credit partnership, a state wine shop, a trading hotel and 2 marinas on the Volga River near the village for parking [3] .
In the 1920s, the Novinsky volost of the Klinsky district was renamed Sverdlovskaya in honor of the revolutionary leader Yakov Sverdlov, the village was called Sverdlovo-Novoe. According to the 1926 census, there are 202 households, 832 inhabitants.
Since 1935, the village of Sverdlovo as part of the Kalinin region , in 1940 - the center of the Sverdlovsk village council of the Zavidovsky district .
Since 1965 - as part of the Konakovsky district , in the 1970-80s, the villagers worked at the Shoshinsky state farm . In 1997, there were 55 households, 79 residents.
According to the 2002 census, the population is 94 people, 40 men, 54 women.
