Biography

Born on September 15, 1938 in the village of Sherashovo , Kabansky District of the Republic of Buryatia in a large fishing family.

In 1953 he graduated from high school with a silver medal. After school, he entered the Faculty of Philology of the Irkutsk State University . The first poems of Andrei Grigorievich were published in Irkutsk newspapers.

From 1960 he worked for 10 years in the newspaper “Youth of Buryatia”, then for 14 years he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Buryatia. Here, in the republic, his first books are published, here Andrei Grigorievich finds his vocation as a gifted poet, at this time many of his own poems were written, and a lot of time is devoted to translating national poetry. Published in collective collections, magazines, newspapers.

From 1993 to 2001 - Executive Secretary of the Irkutsk Organization of the Writers' Union of Russia.

More than 40 years is a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia. Member of the Higher Creative Council of the Writers' Union of Russia, member of the Peter Academy of Sciences and Arts. Winner of several literary awards.

For a long time he lived in Irkutsk. He lives in Moscow . Galina's wife is a philologist . Daughter Olga - actress of the chamber theater "DAR".
