Passalus affinis (lat.) - a species of sugar beetles of the genus Passalus from the family Passalida ( Passalidae ). Caribbean Islands (Haiti Island). Large-sized beetles, which have a length of about 4 cm (from 42.5 to 48.6 mm), are brownish-black, shiny. The edges of the forehead are straight. One of the few species of the genus that describes the process of copulation, edeagus and larvae. The body is elongated, flattened. Elytra in deep longitudinal grooves [1] .
