History
This station belonged to the first part of the line opened on December 1, 1913 linking the Plaza Miserere station and May Square . The station was named after the Battle of Las Piedras, which took place in 1812 between the army of General Manuel Belgrano and the royalist troops under the command of General Pio Tristan , on the south coast of Rio de Las Piedras. In 1997, this station was declared a national historical monument. The station underwent modernization in 2007-2008, but still retains the original floor of 1913. In turn, the walls of the station were restored with original decor.
