Eveite is a mineral , the main arsenate of manganese. It is named for the biblical Eve because of its isostructural nature to Adamina [1] [2] .

Properties

Eveite is a transparent or translucent mineral of green or pale yellow color. Has a Mohs hardness of 3.5–4. It is found in deposits containing oxides and carbonates of manganese and iron. Dimorphic to sarkinitis . Eveit was discovered in 1966 in Vermland , Sweden [1] [2] .
