- February 23 - The German-Zemgale army defeated the Lithuanians at the Battle of Rodenpois .
- Alexei V Duka Murzufl was captured by the Crusaders, they were sentenced to death and executed.
- April 14 - defeat of the crusaders by the army of the Bulgarian king Kaloyan in the battle of Adrianople [1] . The capture of the "Latin Emperor" Baldwin of Flanders , who after several months of captivity was executed by order of Kaloyan .
