Nicolas Turturro the Younger ( born Nicholas Turturro, Jr ; born January 29, 1962 ) is an American actor of Italian descent, brother of actor John Turturro .

Biography
Nicholas was born in 1962 in Queens , New York , USA . He graduated from a Catholic school and in 1982 entered the University of Aelfi, where he studied theatrical art. After two years of study, he married Jamie Biunno and left the institute. Then Nicholas began to work as a doorman and in 1989 starred in the extras in the movie Spike Lee, " Do it right!" ". The director noticed a talented extras and specially for Nicholas Turturro wrote a role in his next film - “The Blues about a Better Life ”. In 1995, divorced his wife, and in 1996 married Lisa Espinosa, whom she met on the plane (she was a flight attendant). From his first marriage, Nicholas left Eric's daughter. [1] [2]

For the role of detective James Martinez in the series “ The Police of New York ” in 1996 he was nominated for the ALMA Award in the nomination “Best Actor in the TV series, mini-series or television movie”, and in the year 1997 he was nominated for the Prime Time Emmy Award in the nomination "Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Drama TV Series" for the same role. Nicholas also received the United States Film Actors Guild Award for best cast in the drama series .
