History

The Partnership of the Moscow Metal Plant was created in 1883 by Yu.P. Guzhon and the trading houses Vogau & Co. and Armand with Sons. Goujon owned the largest number of shares. The following people worked in the board: Yu.P. Guzhon, G.M. Mark, F.K.Shott and N.F. Kirshbaum who joined them in 1913 . In 1884, the Andronievsky Metal Plant was erected in Moscow, giving the metal and its derivatives to the Babiegorsky Metal Factory, the owner of which is Guzhon. Here were the production: rolling, pulling and nailing. Iron was smelted by pudding . The partnership also had at its disposal: iron mines near Tula and the Kolpinsky plant, leased, near Vladimir. In 1884 there were 200 workers. In 1885, the Andronievsky plant was badly damaged by fire, thanks to insurance it was built again. From 1890 to 1892, two open-hearth furnaces were created for the plant. They were used in production, instead of puddling. Steel also began to melt. For production, pig iron was imported from the Urals and Donbass coal. From 1902 to 1908, the partnership was in the "nail" monopoly. Since 1908 in the "Wire". From 1909 to 1910, reconstruction was carried out. The plant took energy from oil and electric engines. In 1908, their capacity was 5.7 thousand horsepower. In 1916, 3.2 thousand workers. In 1917, the partnership consisted of 9 workshops: open-hearth furnace with 6 furnaces, rolling, nailing, drawing, rope, sheet rolling, bolt, mechanical repair, metal structures. In World War I, he received orders for the front. In 1918, nationalized and transformed into the Moscow Metallurgical Plant " Hammer and Sickle " [1] .

Rewards

In 1900, she received a gold medal for products at the World Exhibition in Paris [1] .
