Ortomoda is a Russian company specializing in the production of orthopedic shoes and clothing for people with disabilities. It was founded in 2001 by Galina Volkova. It produces about 50-60 thousand pairs of shoes per year [2] . The second largest producer in Russia after the Moscow factory of orthopedic shoes (MFOO) [2] . It has a retail chain of stores [2] . More than 50% of the company's employees are people with disabilities [3] .

History
The company was founded in 2001, after the birth of the idea of creating orthopedic shoes different from the one that was on the market before [4] , [2] .
In 2002, the company received a license for the provision of prosthetic and orthopedic care. Opens an office in which orders are accepted, and a production workshop in which shoes are sewn.
Since 2003, the company begins to win tenders and receives a state order for the production of orthopedic shoes for people who need it for medical reasons (state orders account for more than 50% of the company's production) [2] . In the first three years of the company’s existence, about 8 million rubles were spent on scientific development of models [2] .
By 2006, the company opened several new workshops and increased its turnover by more than 2 times.
In 2008, opened a retail chain of stores in Moscow, then in other cities of Russia, including Yekaterinburg , Krasnodar , Rostov-on-Don , Kursk , Kaluga [2] .
Since the beginning of the 2010s, the company has opened a line of production of children's orthopedic shoes, which is becoming one of the priorities.
As of 2012, the company's revenue amounted to 140 million rubles, profit - 10 million rubles [2] . A profitability rate of 7% is considered high for the shoe industry as a whole [2] .
In 2014, the company developed a separate line of production of individual orthopedic insoles, as well as the technology of 3D scanning of the legs began to be used for the production of shoes at a distance.
