Story

One night, two Smurfs, Smurfetta and Strongman , decided to go to Papa Smurf's laboratory. There they found a magic crystal, giving its owner the opportunity to travel the world. When Smurfetta and Strongman accidentally touched the crystal, it split into parts and transferred both smurfs away from their native village. Now the heroes need to find parts of the destroyed crystal and assemble them together to return home.

Gameplay

Mega Drive / Genesis, SNES

The gameplay is as follows. The character moves along non-linear levels - locations (located in different countries - for example, in South America ), destroys enemies, overcomes obstacles and collects useful objects. The task of each level is to find several parts of the crystal, after which a portal to the next level is opened.

There are also bonus levels where you need to collect as many items as possible for a limited time. The more prizes a player collects, the more extra lives (as well as health) will be gained.

The enemies in the game are a variety of monsters (butterflies, wasps, fish, parrots, etc.). The player can destroy opponents by jumping from above. Unlike the previous game in the series, there are no invulnerable enemies in the game.

Useful items replenish the hero’s health (hearts) and increase the number of “lives” (image of the smurf). In addition, there are objects necessary for passing (crystals, which are often located in hard-to-reach places or in objects of environment) and for entering the bonus level (keys).

Graphically, the game is built using two-dimensional graphics . The transition from one game screen to another is carried out by means of horizontal or vertical side-scrolling (depending on the level) [3] .
