The monument to the first settlers is a sculptural composition of three bronze figures near the 1943 steam engine “TE-7336”. Located on the forecourt of the city of Sovetsk . It is the only monument in the Kaliningrad region , opened in honor of the first settlers who arrived in the region in 1945-1950 to restore the economies and economies of the region destroyed by the war .

Description
The sculpture consists of three bronze figures with a total weight of 963 kilograms: a senior lieutenant who participated in the Great Patriotic War, his wife and their little son. Behind them is a bag of things. On the officer’s chest are three awards: “For Courage”, “For Military Merit” and “For the Capture of Koenigsberg”. The figures of the lieutenant and his wife are static, their faces express anxiety and doubt, the child is in motion, trying to take the first steps on new land, which is destined to become his second homeland. The author of the monument is Kaliningrad sculptor Andrei Shevtsov.
